Dancing is so much more than movement.

1 note
Does anyone else remember Stick Stickly from Nick in the Afternoon? While endlessly stuffing invoices this morning, a little tune popped into my head.
“Write to me, Stick Stickly, PO Box 963, New York City, New York State, 10108!”
It’s amazing that almost 15 years later, I can still remember Stick Stickly’s address set to music. I wonder what else Nickelodeon subconsciously drilled into my brain.

Because I decided to sleep in an extra hour this morning, I don’t get to take a break at work. Now that it’s the hour of 2-3pm (when I usually take my break), I don’t know what to do with myself. So I decided to be an extra dorky today and make outfits inspired by my dream roles using www.polyvore.com

In honor of the closing weekend of Oklahoma!, I believe it’s appropriate to post one of the two videos that I have endlessly watched on repeat for the past four months. (The link to the rest of the ballet is below). Portraying the role of Dream Laurey and having my “15 minutes of fame” (to be more specific, 14 minutes and 17 seconds) has been a dream come true. Literally. So thank you Josefina Gabrielle for being an amazing performer. Thank you Susan Stroman for completely restructuring the ballet and giving it new life. Thank you cast and crew of Oklahoma!. It’s been amazing. Yeow!

Since I missed my sweet little Evan on So You Think You Can Dance last night, I decided to fill my void by seeing what our child would look like. Unfortunately, that was a bad bad bad idea. I think the bald spot, enormous nose, and black lazy eye is enough to scare me away from having children with Evan. (And if he ever saw this post, it would be more than enough to scare him away from having children with me.) They would be fantastic dancers though!

Essentially, I’m Pam from “The Office”. I’m the receptionist at a paper company, I play endless amount of FreeCell at work, and I am extremely nearsighted. But I have still yet to get banned from Chili’s, participate in the Office Olympics, or find my own Jim. One day.
